Dr Layne Wright

B.Sc. (Hons I), Ph.D.,

Dr Layne Wright is an Auditor in the Quality Assurance (QA) department at Clinical Network Services (CNS) Pty Ltd. and has served as a QA specialist on the CNS Institutional Biosafety Committee since 2014.

Layne has over 15 years experience in preclinical research and has published in the fields of pain neuroscience, retinal neurobiology, somatosensory and visual cortex plasticity and neonatal cardiovascular research. In 2014 Layne joined CNS and has provided QA services including establishment and maintenance of Quality Management Systems,  Vendor,  GCP and GMO audits in Australia and Asia, and Quality reviews of marketing authorisation applications, clinical protocols, Investigator’s Brochures and Clinical Study Report and is a member of the CNS Disaster Recovery Team. She has also prepared clinical trial sites for, and provided support during, FDA inspections.

Layne has a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.), in Physiology (Neuroscience) and an Honours Class 1 in the field of Neuroanatomy from the University of Queensland (UQ) and conducted post-doctoral research at UQ Vision, Touch and Hearing Research Centre and the Psychobiology Laboratory at Australian National University. Layne came to CNS from the UQ Centre for Clinical Research where she helped establish a preterm neonate model to test treatments to improve cardiovascular function.
